• Wikimania 2009

  Participate in Wikimania 2009. Wikimania 2009 will be held August 26-28 in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the San Martín Cultural Center. They are accepting presentations, workshops, panels, posters, open space discussions, and artistic works related to the Wikimedia projects. Deadlines are April 15 and April 30. Would anyone like to assemble a poster about WP SK?

• Wikimania 2010

  • Wikimania 2010 bids have been offered by Amsterdam - Gdańsk - Oxford, all have shown an interest in hosting next year's event.

• Saskatchewan B Class articles and Importance ratings

  An opportunity to Be bold and find out what is required to raise an aritlce past B class into GA or FA. Some information is included below about how to raise an article to B-class

• This is an article written about the wikipedia assessment process Wikipedia Article Quality Assessment and Ranking Tips for Users and Search Engine Engineers. The video game wikiproject reviewed what enabled a topic to be classifed and ranked as important within the scope of their wikiproject and was reviewed in their Newsletter
• For B-class articles the pre-requisites have been posted also at a few wikiprojects for the minimums required for B-class before advancing on to GA. Some wikiprojects offering B class outlines are Military History FAQ, Ships WP FAQ and WP UK roads The criteria for B-Class have been tightened up with the addition of a rubric, and are now more in line with the stricter standards already used at some projects.
• The new C-Class represents articles that are beyond the basic Start-Class, but which need additional references or cleanup to meet the standards for B-Class.
• A-Class article reviews will now need more than one person, as described here.

  • There is a renovation and upgrade project being tackled on the Saskatoon article. Please Be bold and join the discussion or help promote the article to GA.

• Caronport, Saskatchewan

  Please expand city, town, village and hamlet articles especially if you have first hand knowledge of them, which would develop facts and help in knowing where to find resources, citations and sources. For example Caronport, Saskatchewan is a recent request

• May celebrations - Mother's Day

  • Help to celebrate May, write a biography about someone's mother to celebrate Mother's Day. Some women who are listed at Sk Requests are...MLA Anne Smart, Violet Stanger, Carol Carson, Suzanne Murray for example. Here is a conversation in regards to standardization of MLAs and MPs. Please feel free to add to this listing at requests

• May celebrations - Memorial Day

  • Write an article about War memorials or photograph notable Saskatchewan war memorials or Commemorative plaques to celebrate the American Memorial Day which would be Monday May 26. Some articles to be expanded have been heritage sites such as Next of Kin Memorial Avenue , Memorial Gates (University of Saskatchewan), Batoche, Saskatchewan and Veterans' Memorial Highway articles. Some articles to be created are heritage sites such as Gray Burial Site , and Pioneer (Nutana) Cemetery.

• May celebrations - Victoria Day

  • May 19 demarks Victoria Day, and a wonderful Saskatchewan wikipedia project would be to expand or create articles about the Monarchy in Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Monarchy in the Canadian provinces. There are communities, schools, and landmarks which have a Royal designation which could be created or expanded. Tweedsmuir community, King George School (Moose Jaw); King George Community School (Prince Albert); King Edward School (Saskatoon) ;Queen Elizabeth School (Lloydminster); Queen Elizabeth School (Weyburn); Prince Arthur Community School (Moose Jaw); Prince Philip School (Saskatoon); Princess Alexandra School (Saskatoon); Queen Mary School (Prince Albert); Princess Margaret School (Prince Albert); Prince Charles School (Prince Albert); Connaught School Regina; Massey School, Regina; Vincent Massey Community School (Prince Albert); Vanier Collegiate Institute, Moose Jaw; Earl Grey School, Earl Grey;

• Note: Some elementary schools such as Victoria School (Kamsack) ; Victoria School (Saskatoon) ; King George School (Saskatoon) now belong to their neighbourhood articles. Some elementary schools could belong to their community, town or village articles.

  Please vote on the featured article status of this article, as it was promoted to FA quite awhile ago, and FA status requirements have changed. The above list was merged into the List of universities in Canada.

• 2009 Saskatchewan Wiki meet up

  • In 2008, a Wikimeetup was sceduled for those interested in editing Saskatchewan articles. Is there interest for a 2009 Wiki meet up? Craik was chosen as a mid-point between the two major cities, Saskatoon and Regina, and it coincided with the Craik Sustainable Living Project (CSLP) Solar Fair and Trade Show. June 20 and 21, 2009. Please comment on the talk page. Is spring a better time for folks, or would late fall be better after harvest? Summer may crash into holidays and vacation times.

• Welcome new users

  • Use the Outreach welcome template and extend a welcome to new users who are writing about Saskatchewan.

• Biographies

  • With father's day upcoming, focus is on writing up some biographies on some notable Saskatchewan people. Please categorise these with one of the sub categories from Category:People from Saskatchewan and use the talk page banner and check off Saskatchewan=yes as biographies are harder to trace for inclusion than other Saskatchewan titular articles. With such categories-banners being used, the articles are more likely to be found and expanded by other Saskatchewan users. Take some time to find biographies of Saskatchewan folk on wikipedia currently and categorise-banner them as well.

Well, I'm Bonziiznob from the RuneScape Wiki. Although I'm not sure if you will respond to this, I'd like to know if Jagex has made any attempt to contact you with regards to trying to setup some sort of relationship or affiliation.
